Denver has some supercharged art and culture events lined up this week. You can start your week off with a bang at Denver Fashion Week and end it with calm at STILLness. Whatever you make of the week, make sure to take a quick look at this roundup of events in Denver.

Denver Fashion Week

The Lowdown: Denver Fashion Week is back. 303 Magazine hosts Denver’s top fashion events. The week holds tons of fashion related events including workshops with designers such as Courtney Hoffman, an esteemed costume designer whose work has been featured in Quentin Tarantino films, models workshops and some amazing fashion shows.

Denver Film Festival

When: November 5 – 11

The Lowdown: Denver Film Society presents the Denver Film Festival. The 41st annual event features a 12-day festival full of screenings of films from all over the world. Although the festival is already underway, this upcoming week still has a few red carpet screenings as well as plenty of opportunities to get your indie film cravings satisfied.

Denver Arts Week

When: November 5 – 10

The Lowdown: Denver Arts Week is back. The event features nine days of art centered experiences. You can experience discounted trips to museums, Denver Fashion Week, Denver Film Festival and more. This week is the week to really dive deep into Denver’s art scene.

Unrolling History: The Final Paintings 

When: November 5, 1 – 1:30 p.m. 

Where: Clyfford Still Museum, 1250 Bannock St., Denver

The Lowdown: Clyfford Still Museum hosts a Facebook Live event, Unrolling History: The Final Paintings. The event features the unveiling of the final canvases that have been tucked away in the Clyfford Still collection. You can watch the unrolling and learn more about each forgotten painting.

Silent Disco Yoga

When: November 6, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. 

Where: Viewhouse Ballpark, 2015 Market St., Denver

The Lowdown: Viewhouse Ballpark hosts Silent Disco Yoga. The event features a yoga flow guided by a CorePower instructor through Sound Off Colorado headphones. Before class, you can imbibe on a $4 Infinite Monkey Theorem wine and munch on happy hour food and then get your yogi on. Make sure to arrive early to snag a good spot to practice.

The Trail Running Film Festival

The Lowdown: The Oriental Theater host The Trail Running Film Festival. The festival features two-hours of films taking on runs in the wilderness full of mountainous views, obstacles and more. You can sit back and relax with a drink in hand and watch the experts run it out.

Advanced Screening

The Lowdown: Alamo Drafthouse Denver hosts an Advanced Screening of Boy Erased. The film follows the story of Jared, a young man dealing with coming to terms with his sexuality as his parents force him to go through conversion therapy or be disowned.

Sarah Winkler Exhibition

The Lowdown: K Contemporary partners with Denver Place to host a Sarah Winkler Exhibition. The exhibition features works by collage artist and painter Sarah Winkler. You can peruse the pieces that take on Colorado landscapes with a dramatic flair that dives deeper into familiarity from afar.

Tara Donovan Artist Conversation

When: November 8, 7 – 8:30 p.m.

Outdoor Retailer Winter Market

Intro to Knitting

Normally tickets to the Molly Brown House are $11 and events tend to sell out, so now is the best time to go to the museum without any fees. The museum has been open for more than 47 years and tells a story about “unsinkable” Margaret “Molly” Brown and her achievements. Tickets are first come, first serve, so get them quick at the museum’s gift shop.

A Night in Havana

David Choong Lee Exhibition

The solo exhibition features works from artist David Choong Lee who uses graffiti, portraiture, collage and more to create abstract pieces that have vibrant vibes. Reptilian Nation Expo

The Lowdown: National Western Complex hosts the Reptilian Nation Expo. The two-day expo features more than a 1000 reptiles, arachnids, amphibians and more available to purchase, demos, exhibits and more. If you love cute little creepy crawlies, this expo is for you.

Denver Immersive Summit

When: November 10, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

Where: CU Denver Science Building, Lawrence St. and Speer Blvd., Denver

The Lowdown: Learn from educators, creatives and more at the Denver Immersive Summit. The summit features a day of panels, workshops, discussions and more from people such as Noah Nelson of No Proscenium: The Guide to Everything Immersive, installation artist Lonnie Hanzon and Jenny Weinbloom — the immersive producer and Executive Producer of Meow Wolf Denver. The proce from the event will benefit next year’s summit.

Grand Opening

When: November 10, 6 – 8 p.m. 

Where: The Storeroom, 1700 Vine St., Denver

The Lowdown: The Storeroom presents a Grand Opening. The event features the first look at The Storeroom, an art installation and exhibition space and the unveiling of the venue’s very first art installation, Harlequin Night, created by Knomad Colab. The installation features a three-dimensional painting made with shadows and color.

Rocky Mountain Con

The Lowdown: Rocky Mountain Con is back in Denver. You can dress up in your best cosplay and adventure at the fan-based convention that features comics, gaming, sci-fi and more. You can meet special guests, peruse collectibles and take part in contests.

Hygge Life’s Nordic Market

The Lowdown: The Source hosts a Hygge Life’s Nordic Market. The market opens for the winter season to present Nordic designs, goods and more perfect for Christmas presents and decor. The market is inspired by hygge, a way of life and home in Scandinavia.

VFW Post 1 World War 1 Commemoration Poppy Event

When: November 11, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. 

Where: Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York St., Denver

The Lowdown: Denver Botanic Gardens partners with Denver’s Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to present a VFW Post 1 World War 1 Commemoration Poppy Event. The event features an honoring of Coloradans who served in World War 1 with a display of 100 poppies. Poppies serve as a symbol of remembering those who passed in WWI.
