The charity fundraiser at the Sarasota Yacht Club raised over $13,000 for the LWRWC’s four 501(c)(3) adopted charities. Due to CDC recommended guidelines for coronavirus, the event had very limited seating. However, what it lacked in numbers was overcome by the unprecedented generosity of those who attended and those who supported the fundraiser behind the scenes.
One hundred percent of net proce raised will support the critical ne of HOPE Family Services for victims of domestic violence; SOLVE Maternity Homes, helping pregnant woman in need and their precious babies for over 40 years; SMART Riding Therapy, improving lives of children and adults with physical, mental and emotional challenges through horseback riding and carriage driving programs; and Children’s Guardian Fund, which immediately responds to the ne of children removed from abusive or neglectful homes.
The event received tremendous support from local businesses and put the fun in fundraising with an elegant silent auction, exciting raffle prizes, a gourmet lunch, an outstanding DJ (JB Baxter from More than Music), a fashion show and glamorous models thanks to complimentary Hair Make-up provided by Che Bella Aveda Salon Spa, LWR.
Event Chair Monika Templeman expressed appreciation to her amazing Fashion Show Committee for their extraordinary dedication. She gave special thanks to event photographers Lynn Wolf Karen Scollick, Darci Jacob from Panache, Gold Business Sponsors Adamchak, Bordes Wealth Management, Merrill Lynch; Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, LWR Communities; Laurie Fox from Coldwell Banker Realty, and the individual sponsors and 72 donors who supported this charity fundraiser.
