The rumours are true-mers, the GLASGLOW GIRLS CLUB Private Members Website has reopened to new members for a limited time, and now’s your chance to join the pro-female gang.
Opened on Sunday, you’ll now be able to blag yourself the coveted GLASGLOW GIRLS CLUB rose gold keyring that grants you banging discounts across the city and a whole host of additional benefits.
GLASGLOW GIRLS CLUB all started out life as a Facebook group where women could share ideas, connect and support each other.

“I started the GGC as a free forum for women in Glasgow and the surrounding areas to come together to share recommendations and advice, event info, promote their businesses and just generally create a community for ladies to support and collaborate with each other,” said Laura Maginess, who launched the Facebook group in 2017 before launching the private members website in December 2018.
“Women have this amazing nurturing spirit and massive capacity to help others and it was on that premise the Facebook group started.
“Within three days the Facebook group had 800 members and so I knew this was something that was sought after.
“Fast forward a year and a half and I decided to leave my full time work to focus on creating the private members website, which enabled the Facebook group ladies (now sitting at over 14.1 thousand) to take their membership to the GGC that bit further if they wanted to.”
Laura has said the Facebook group will always be a free community for women or self-identifying women (unless the bold Mark Zuckerberg changes something of course).
There are two types of GGC membership: personal and business.

Laura added, “The personal members get access to discounted events, a blog, deals online and a magazine.”
The discounts available to GGC members incorporate some of Glasgow’s most iconic brands.
We’re talking Mud Flowers, King’s Theatre, Fake Bake, Naf Salon, Blythswood Square Hotel, Rawnchy and O2 Academy, to name but a few.
“Business members get all of that as well as targeted content such as business blogs, deals to help grow their business, access to a professional Facebook group where we have regular training videos, Facebook Live yoga every Monday morning and lots of different things to help people keep a balanced lifestyle,” said Laura.
As part of the business membership, Laura runs monthly meetings with members and speed networking events where you can brainstorm with other leading Glasgow ladies to push your business to its best.
If exercise is more your thing, the GLASGLOW GIRLS CLUB has recently collaborated with Excelsior Adventures to run guided hikes and walks, with self defence and GGC fitness classes also in the pipeline.

“With the GGC, I am passionate about creating a community that inspires, informs and educates, that is why we have a podcast channel, a book club and will soon be starting GGC TV on Youtube, all of which is open to Facebook group members too. And there’s also loads of ways we can make the businesses of Glasgow glow for members too,” commented Laura.
“For ladies who join the website, they’ll get access to exclusive content, alongside getting discounts to all GGC events and soon members will also enjoy exclusive invites to citywide events.”
It’s not just women the GLASGLOW GIRLS CLUB support.
“£2 from every sign up goes to Social Bite to help support their efforts in eradicating social problems in Scotland,” added Laura.
