Football season is officially over, and now it’s time for what we like to think of as the Superbowl of fashion: New York Fashion Week. This week, top designers from all across the globe are gearing up to present their latest collections in the city that never sleeps, and the new mentor for Bravo’s Project Runway, Christian Siriano, just gave us a peek at all of the hard work that goes into a NYFW runway show.
Judging by Siriano’s recent Instagram Stories, the trailblazing designer has pretty much been living in his NYC fashion studio in preparation for his Fall/Winter 2019 runway show, which happens on Saturday, February, 9. In several behind-the-scenes pics, the designer is surrounded by clothing racks as he plans out ensembles for his show. Styling the runway looks is just one of many steps in finalizing the presentation. Siriano has to go through plenty of fittings as well to make sure his designs properly fit the models.
As a celeb-loved designer, Siriano has more than just models running in and out of his studio for fittings. Orange Is the New Black actress Danielle Brooks, who walked in Siriano’s Fall 2018 runway show, also popped in for some one-on-one time with the designer.
His fashion show isn’t the only exciting project Siriano will present this week. The Maryland native will also be releasing new shoe designs for his Payless collection in conjunction with his show on Saturday.
